Why Payment Options Matter

Dental costs vary depending on what treatment you need. For many patients, uncertainty about costs delays care altogether.

If you hold private health insurance, you may have benefits you are not yet using. If you are uninsured, we can still help you find a workable arrangement.

We are transparent about costs from the very first visit. Before any treatment begins, we provide a clear treatment plan so you know exactly what to expect.

Payment Options at Your Family Dental

We offer several payment options, so you can choose what works best for you.

Private Health Insurance via HICAPS: We process health fund claims on the spot. You pay only the gap amount at your appointment. We accept all major health funds.

Preferred providers at both locations include: TUH, HCF, CBHS, NIB, Apia, AAMI, Suncorp, Qantas Health Insurance, IMAN Australian Health Plans, GU Health, ING Health Insurance, Priceline Health Insurance, Real Insurance, Australian Seniors, and United Healthcare Global.

Eftpos, Visa and Mastercard: We accept all major debit and credit cards for your convenience.

Payment Plans: If you need to spread the cost of treatment over time, speak with our team. We will explain what is available based on your specific treatment and circumstances.

To talk through your payment options before booking, call our Beerwah clinic on (07) 5494 0964 or our Little Mountain clinic on (07) 5437 2147.

Buy Now, Pay Later Options

We offer buy-now, pay-later options through Humm and Afterpay. These options let you start treatment now and pay it off over time, without delaying your care.

Humm: Humm lets you split your treatment cost into smaller, regular repayments. It is interest-free and available for a wide range of treatment amounts. Humm is a straightforward option for patients seeking a clear, manageable repayment schedule.

Afterpay: Afterpay splits your dental costs into four equal fortnightly payments. Afterpay is interest-free when payments are made on time, making it one of the simplest ways to manage an unexpected dental expense.

To find out which option suits your treatment, contact our team before your appointment.

Medibank Members: Make the Most of Your Extras Cover

Our Beerwah clinic is a Medibank preferred provider. For eligible Medibank members, this can mean real savings on dental care.

What Is a Medibank Preferred Provider?

Medibank works with a network of dental practices called the Members’ Choice network.

Practices in this network have agreed on set fees with Medibank. This means your pricing is easier to anticipate, and your out-of-pocket costs are typically lower than with an out-of-network practice.

What Benefits Can Medibank Members Access?

Your benefits depend on your level of extras cover. As a general guide, eligible members may access the following when visiting our Beerwah clinic.

Dental Check-Ups: Eligible members can receive 100% back on up to two dental check-ups per year, including bitewing x-rays where clinically required. For most eligible covers, these check-ups sit outside your annual limit. A two-month waiting period applies. Benefits vary by product.

Higher Rebates on Other Treatments: Visiting a Members’ Choice Advantage practice means Medibank covers a higher percentage of the cost for other eligible treatments. This includes fillings, mouthguards, and a range of general dental services.

Sports Mouthguards: Eligible members can receive 100% back on one sports mouthguard per year, subject to annual limits. This benefit excludes Healthy Living Extras.Live Better Rewards: Earn up to 1,000 points per check-up completed at a Members’ Choice Advantage provider. Maximum two check-ups per year. Points can be redeemed for gift cards and other rewards through the Medibank Live Better program. Excludes Healthy Living Extras.

How to Check Your Cover

Not all Medibank products offer the same benefits. We recommend reviewing your cover summary or contacting Medibank directly before your appointment.

Using Your Medibank Card at Our Beerwah Clinic

Bring your Medibank membership card or have your digital card ready on the My Medibank app. We process all claims through HICAPS on the spot. You pay only the applicable gap amount at the time of your appointment.

If you have any questions about your Medibank cover before you visit, our reception team is happy to assist.

Other Health Funds

We welcome patients from all health funds at both our Beerwah and Little Mountain clinics. Claims are processed on the spot through HICAPS for all major insurers. If you are unsure whether your fund is supported, call us, and we will confirm.

Who Can Benefit From a Dental Payment Plan?

Flexible payment options are not just for major dental work. Many of our patients use them for a wide range of treatments, including:

  • Orthodontic treatment, such as braces or clear aligners
  • Dental implants and crowns
  • Cosmetic treatment, including veneers or teeth whitening
  • General dental work, such as fillings or extractions

If cost has been putting off your dental care, we encourage you to call us. We would rather have an honest conversation about your options than see you delay treatment that matters for your long-term health.
