Other general dental treatments and procedures
Root canals
A root canal is a dental procedure designed to save a tooth that has become severely infected or damaged.
A root canal is typically recommended when the inner tissue of the tooth, called the pulp, becomes infected or inflamed. While the idea of a root canal may seem intimidating, it is a common and highly effective treatment that can relieve pain and restore function to your tooth.
Wisdom teeth extractions
Wisdom teeth, the third set of molars located at the back of your mouth, typically emerge in late adolescence or early adulthood. While some people’s wisdom teeth grow in without issue, others may experience pain, infection, or alignment problems that require extraction.
Your dentist will take X-rays and assess the position of your wisdom teeth. Based on your specific situation, they will discuss the best course of action.
Other tooth extractions
Teeth extraction, while often considered a last resort, is a common and safe dental procedure. It is sometimes necessary when a tooth is severely damaged, decayed, or poses a threat to your overall oral health. At our practice, we aim to make the extraction process as comfortable and stress-free as possible, ensuring you can move forward to a healthier smile.
Custom mouthguards
A custom mouthguard is an essential piece of protective equipment, designed specifically to fit your mouth and safeguard your teeth, gums, and jaw during physical activities. Unlike store-bought, one-size-fits-all options, custom mouthguards are created by your dentist to ensure maximum comfort, durability, and protection.
Sleep apnoea devices (mandibular advancement splint)
A mandibular advancement splint (MAS), also known as a mandibular advancement device (MAD) or snoring mouthguard, is a dental appliance used primarily to treat conditions like snoring and sleep apnea. It works by repositioning the lower jaw (mandible) forward, which helps open up the airway and improve airflow while you sleep.
The first step is typically a consultation with your doctor or a sleep specialist who may recommend a sleep study to determine if you have sleep apnea or simply snore.
