Cosmetic dental treatments available

Porcelain veneers

Dental Veneers are bonded to the front of teeth to act as a surface covering, hiding flaws like chips, misalignment, unevenness, tooth gaps and discolouration. They are custom-made to suit each tooth to ultimately improve the aesthetics of your smile.

If you are worried about the appearance of your teeth then veneers are a good option to consider.

Dental crowns

Tooth crowns, also known as dental caps, are dental prosthetics which are bonded in place to restore weakened or damaged teeth to as-new condition. The crown fits over the tooth, effectively encircling it (hence the name “crown”). Each crown is unique and custom-made to the shape of the tooth.

Crowns are a great option for people suffering from tooth decay, cracks and fractures, and large fillings. They are also often used after root canal treatments to restore teeth strength.

Before a crown is fitted your dentist will perform an exam and X-ray to determine if a crown is a viable option. If yes, an impression is taken of the specific tooth or teeth requiring the crown/s. While you wait for the custom-made crown to be made, a temporary crown is fitted to protect the tooth or teeth in question. Once ready, the permanent dental crown is fastened into place. For your comfort, the fit and bite is adjusted as needed.

Tooth bridges

Whether you have one missing tooth, or many, dental bridges are the answer. It’s all in the name – tooth bridges literally ‘bridge’ the gap between existing teeth, caused by missing teeth. The various benefits, aside from enhancing the aesthetics of your smile, are restored chewing ability and overall improved oral health.

Teeth whitening

Professional teeth whitening will help you regain your bright, white smile, enhancing your confidence. It’s a common treatment for those with discoloured and/or stained teeth. Before any teeth whitening is done our dentists will check for any oral health problems such as cracks and tooth decay as these problems would need to be fixed before whitening treatments begin.

Full mouth reconstructions

Mouth reconstruction procedures are advanced dental treatments which consist of several dental treatments as all areas of your mouth will be impacted – teeth, gums, muscles and bone alignments. Such a treatment will prevent further teeth degeneration and restore your smile and oral health.

Smile makeovers

Similar to mouth reconstructions, but less invasive, smile makeovers consist of different cosmetic dental treatments to improve the appearance of your smile. As every smile is unique, every smile makeover is customised to each individual. Such a dental treatment may include teeth whitening, veneers, dental implants, and/or tooth crowns.

Gum contouring/reshaping

Do you have an uneven smile which makes your teeth look short or cramped? Contouring of the gums aims to reshape your gum line by removing excess tissue which covers part of the teeth. This dental procedure will give you the amazing smile you have always desired.

Tooth fillings

If you have a hole or a cavity in your tooth, tooth fillings are usually the answer. Your Beerwah or Little Mountain dentist will discuss the filling material options with you and advise on the most suitable one for you. Dental fillings restore your teeth to their original, strong condition.
